Anointing of the Sick

Our Parish Community is blessed with a rich and vibrant liturgical life, where the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick holds a special place. The Anointing of the Sick is a time of comfort and strength as we seek God's healing and grace. We invite you to explore the many aspects of this sacred rite and discover how you can be part of this meaningful sacrament.

ABOUT THE ANOINTING OF THE SICK

The Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of healing that provides spiritual and sometimes physical healing to those who are seriously ill, elderly, or facing major surgery. Through the anointing with holy oil and prayers of the priest, the sick person receives the grace of the Holy Spirit, which brings peace, courage, and strength to endure their suffering.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK PREPARATION

The sacrament can be received by any baptized Catholic who is seriously ill, elderly, or about to undergo a significant medical procedure. Family members are encouraged to contact the Parish Office to arrange for the sacrament to be administered at home, in a hospital, or during a special Mass.

SCHEDULING THE ANOINTING OF THE SICK

The Anointing of the Sick can be scheduled as needed. We encourage individuals and families to contact the Parish Office well in advance, especially if the sacrament is requested before surgery or during a serious illness, to ensure that a priest is available.
