Lord, make me an instrument of Thy
peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy

Welcome! may the peace of the lord be with you!

Hard to Believe - But TRUE!
It has now been MORE than 10 years since the gentle and wise Argentine man of God has been the Pope and worldwide leader of all Roman Catholics! He has brought new inspiration and hope for hundreds of millions, and not just Roman Catholics. Pope Francis has done much to remind people everywhere that Jesus was sent to us to encourage mercy, forgiveness, tolerance and understanding. And most of all, to find love in our hearts for all people, to love our neighbors as ourselves.

EXCERPT OF SPEECH GIVEN TO CATHOLIC YOUTH LAST AUGUST, 2022:
"In union with Jesus, each of you becomes a seed destined to blossom, to grow and bear fruit. But we need to follow him," the Pope told a group of young men and women participating in a summer camp program sponsored by Alpha International.
"That means saying no to selfishness, to self-centeredness, to wanting to appear other than what we are. No! It means being ourselves, neither puffed up nor downcast, but seeing ourselves for who we are. That is true humility," he said Aug. 5.

He was born and raised in Argentina, with the name Jorge Mario Bergoglio. He was the first Jesuit to become Pope

Opening excerpt from the letter by Joe Gibbons, Board President of the Gerald Ryan Outreach Center...and link to the on the scene video reporting done by CBS News:
Friends,
As you know, our summer camp is in full swing with 75 kids registered and more being added daily!
On day three, a CBS van with a camera crew and reporter showed up to film a story on Island Harvest and their summer lunch program. Although we only had about an hour's notice, I thought it worked out well; below is the url to the story and video.
With the hot weather, the kids have really been enjoying their pool time on Monday and Friday afternoons; Linda Kagen sponsored two ice cream events so each child was able to have a soft serve cone from the ice-cream truck; I enjoy watching them eat their cones, after three hours in the pool, and savoring the moment.
